About

I've provided quality recreational and sports programming for children in the Washington, D.C. area. I began my career as a preschool teacher and transitioned into after-school programs. I started working with children in HS taking child development classes and interning as an Assistant PE Teacher at the elementary school I attended. After HS I worked for different after-school programs and ended up at Lafayette Elementary School in 2009 as the preschool teacher for the after-school program then transitioned into the program's sports coordinator and specialist. That led to me coaching the school's first and only flag football team and then creating a sports and group games recess program as well as a girl power program to get more girls involved in recreational activities.
From 2009 to 2020 I became Lafayette Elementary School's unofficial Sports Coordinator and Specialist teaching sports before school, during recess, and after school for over a decade.

Mission

My mission is to help children develop emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically through sports and group games.

Vision

I want to help children understand that sports are not only physical but also mental, social, and emotional as well. We make a conscious effort to teach children all the things you can gain from sports and games that can benefit them beyond the court or field. There are so many positive values and character traits you can gain from physical activities like perseverance, commitment, dedication, hard work, teamwork, discipline, integrity, sportsmanship, leadership, respect, responsibility, being unselfish, effort, communication, empathy, passion, develop a work ethic, and these different traits can help children at a very young age with self-awareness self-confidence self-respect positive self-esteem as well as building people up versus tearing people down.
